A pair of KLIM Mojave Pro gloves accompanied us on a recent 2000-mile road trip through the southern Appalachains. Practically every Southeastern US summer weather condition available challenged these gloves on the ride.
Through the permeating fog for which the Smoky Mountains are named, enduring heat and humidity in the 90's traversing the Tennessee playland of Sevierville/Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, in traffic moving slower than a man can walk. To temperatures a mite chilly in the mountains, as on Mount Mitchell, Nortch Carolina's highest point (6,684 ft/2,037 m).
Through it all, these gloves remained supple, with plenty of “feel” for the controls. The abundant ventilation perforations allowed the wind of motion to cool the hands during hot conditions, while the robust leather elements provided a margin of thermal protection on the cold mornings, still maintaining a firm grip.

While worn in the fog, mist, and rain, the gloves never developed a “clammy,” wet-through feeling experienced with other gloves. The garments always dried satisfactorily overnight, without application of heat.
The first priority of any motorcycle gloves remains protection, from impact and abrasion. The KLIM Mojave Pro gloves handle this function with Poron XRD extreme impact protection padding on the knuckles, and Pittards microvent perforated leather on the palms and inner finger surfaces.
3M Scotchlite reflective piping helps insure nighttime visibility and safety. Leather used is processed by Pittards, a United Kingdom company specializing in leather for sporting gear and for safety equipment. The leather used in these gloves is finely perforated, enhancing the porosity for ventilation, perspiration resistance, and perhaps for quick-drying characteristics.
The back of the hand is protected by abrasion-resistant and stretch mesh, assuring ventilation and non-restrictive fit. The gloves fit well, following the natural curve of the hand and fingers, a function of the many pieces strategically sewn to structure the garment.
If considering these gloves, trying on a pair for size is advisable: I ordinarily wear a MEDIUM sized glove, the KLIM Mojave Pro glove in LARGE size fit perfectly. Bottom line: The KLIM Mojave Pro glove scores as a high-quality, versatile glove for summer wear, offering ventilation and protection without compromising dexterity and grip.
Available in black, or with blue, gray, orange or red trim.
