The new Inversion Pro Glove by Klim is a child of necessity, the result of consumer demand and the company’s tireless product research. For most it would be impossible to have just one set of gloves for all motorcycle needs, but the Inversion Pros could easily be a frontrunner in that category. They excel in almost all conditions except for extended heavy precipitation and temperatures well below freezing.
I had long been a fan of Klim’s Adventure Pro gloves for the protection they offered and the superb grip of the leather palm, but they were never quite versatile enough for me. My original pair of Inversion gloves had seen heavy action but they were also a bit of a one-trick pony due to a lack of palm grip and poor water resistance. It’s almost as if Klim was reading my mind and said: “Hey, lets come out with a glove that has all the best qualities of the Adventure Pro and the Inversion!” And, that’s exactly what they did.
The new Inversion Pros are loaded with features like Gore Wind stopper shell, Pittards Armortan leather palm, Poron XRD padding in the knuckles and fingers, and 3M Scotchlight throughout.

Klim has really nailed riding gear for the adventure industry; the proof is in these gloves. They could be the best all-around gloves I’ve ever owned. After a somewhat tumultuous break in-period they became everything I wanted in an adventure glove: windproof, water resistant, superb grip, ample protection—all without too much bulk. They’re what I would consider to be the optimal length, too, falling somewhere between wrist length and full gauntlets, with easy to operate Velcro closures. And, their fit molds to the hand after some wear, making them extremely comfortable.
They certainly live up to the booking as “windproof cold weather protection,” but what Klim fails to promote is that they’re also fairly water resistant. While riding through sustained rains in northern Oregon I was impressed with how they kept my hands almost entirely dry. With a set of thin glove liners my hands even stayed warm and dry through an unexpected spring snowstorm in Nevada. And in the extreme heat of the Arizona desert they were not uncomfortable. The leather palm did a great job of keeping grip even in the sweaty conditions.
As far as durability goes the Inversion Pros get my “adventure proof” stamp of approval, having sustained heavy abuse from aggressive off-road riding and extended touring. Their ruggedness, coupled with the ability to thrive in diverse weather conditions, makes them a great all-around adventure glove, possibly the only set you’ll ever need. MSRP: $89.99 www.klim.com
