Despite the overwhelmingly positive reviews on various retail sites and forums, I was skeptical as I first stepped into this pair of high performance, technical underwear. It’s generally accepted that Moto-Skiveez makes some high-quality gear, but for me, seeing is believing. Let’s just say, my eyes have been opened. While the Adventure Tight shares a few of the same features as the original Adventure Skiveez, besides the added length, there are some pretty significant changes.

From my perspective, the purpose of the Adventure Tight is two-fold:

First, they’re intended to keep your butt from getting sore, allowing you to maximize both riding comfort and time in the saddle. The physical pad, built into the Adventure Tight, has been engineered for the more upright riding position typical of adventure and dual-sport riders. The technology in the pad is entirely new and derived from the professional road cycling industry. New foam manufacturing methods involve a highly complicated process in which a rapid change in atmospheric pressure is introduced to the liquid foam, creating microscopic bubble fractures, resulting in a highly dense pad that is more shock absorbent and breathable than previously available. Despite the winter weather here in Minnesota, I was able to put this new foam to the test; bumps in the road and vibrations from the bike seemed to disappear in all the places that count.

Second, the Adventure Tight serves to increase athletic performance. Moto-Skiveez has introduced in this product a completely new type of fabric. This high-tech synthetic material has a large volume of elasticity that acts to compress the wearer’s muscles, in turn stabilizing fragile joints, reducing muscle fatigue, keeping muscles warmer, and wicking moisture away to prevent chaffing. All reasons you’ll see nearly all modern athletes wearing compression apparel. The tights themselves are extremely lightweight and are designed for warm weather riding and maximum breathability. But, there’s still an element of warmth while wearing them.

The Adventure Tight optimizes riding comfort and athletic performance. Beyond ten hours or so, the compressing qualities in the Tight are rather noticeable; this product is meant for long-distance or off-road riding, and not for lounging around the campsite.
