Outside magazine has honored the Big Agnes Rattlesnake SL3 mtnGLO™ tent with their 2015 Gear of the Year award. The award is one of the most prestigious in the outdoor industry, recognizing gear for innovation in design materials and performance.
“We are proud to receive our fifth award for the mtnGLO Collection, after already being recognized by Backpacker, Men’s Health, Gear Junkie and National Geographic Adventure,” says Bill Gamber, Big Agnes co-founder and president. “The mtnGLO tent collection is the first of its kind to offer integrated LEDs for ambient light at the click of a button.”

The double-door Rattlesnake SL3 mtnGLO backpacking tent features the patent pending mtnGLO Tent Light Technology using durable light emitting diodes (LEDs) integrated into the seams of the tent body. The mtnGLO system turns on and off with the click of a button so backpackers and campers no longer have to fumble for headlamps or flashlights in the dark. It offers two brightness levels and provides enough light to sort gear, play cards and hang out with friends without blinding them with a bright beam of light.
The mtnGLO Collection includes fourteen tent models, the Tent Light Accessory Kit, and the Power Case/Loft, a durable case designed for tablets and other electronic devices featuring the Joey® T55 computerized power supply. The Rattlesnake SL3 mtnGLO tent is available now. MSRP: $219.95-$599.95 BigAgnes.com
