We've gotten an update from Klim on the new Kodiak Jacket and Pants including pricing and availability for their top tier touring suit. Available for pre-order now the redesigned Kodiak will feature upgrades across the board, including better mobility for range of motion, new fabric patterning for more comfort on the bike, more airflow with better venting, comprehensive weather protection with a removable storm collar, and an included down jacket for cold weather.

It’s exciting to see Klim include a fully wearable, packable down jacket and a 4-way stretch storm collar with the new Kodiak Jacket, creating a truly comprehensive multi-season garment. The down jacket and Kodiak are designed to fit true-to-size, meaning you don’t have to size up or down for the layered garments. The down jacket is also designed to be worn completely on it’s own and can be compared to Klim’s new Maverick Down Jacket, which is also available separately.

Major comfort upgrades include new fabric layouts that are engineered for extended periods of time in a seated riding position. This is partially accomplished with new use of GORE-TEX stretch fabrics in the underarms and crotch, and some lighter key body fabrics to reduce bulk. Still, the legendary abrasion resistance and impact protection associated with KLIM gear remains uncompromised.

Klim’s reputation for using the finest materials and most advanced construction techniques has been well established with their premium touring outerwear. Ingredients including GORE-TEX, D3O armor, premium leather overlays, 3M Scotchlite Reflective Material, 90/10 goose down, and YKK Zippers all help Klim reach the level of performance they demand.
