Team ADVMoto is at it again with an all new budget rally project bike. ADVMoto's start-up team, ADVRacing, wanted to build an affordable rally bike. Two months ago we picked up a 2002 DRZ400S from Culpeper, VA and have been busy replacing parts since then. While some pieces were donated by partners like Twisted Throttle, Dual Sport Armory, Piper Motorsports, Rally Management Services, Seat Concepts, P3 and more, many of the components were purchased off industry sites and Ebay.

"It's been a mad rush getting the bike prepped and ready to run the Sandblast Rally. Several weeks of snow and ice have made testing difficult so this will be an adventure on many levels." said Carl Parker, ADVMoto Publisher. Riders Mitch Piper and Dan DiMaio will be running on a KTM950 Super Enduro and the ADVMoto project "Darth DRZ" respectively.

Join us this weekend on March 7 for a day of racing in the woods at the 2015 Sand Blast Rally in Cheraw, South Carolina. The race will cover over 160 miles in four stages and includes car and motorcycle classes. We will be testing out our Suzuki DRZ 400, making sure it's a rally ready machine before we pass on our thoughts, parts list, and price breakdown.

Like many racers, finishing touches have come down to the last hours before the big day. The race itself will be the DRZ's first shakedown so come on down for a fun weekend and get a sneak peek out our latest project bike! SandBlastRally.com
