More than 40 racers began their countdown, T minus thirty days, until the 2015 BAJA RALLY, including North America's most accomplished rally racers. Among the top contenders are Dakar Rally vets Quinn Cody (US), Lyndon Poskitt (UK), Lawrence Hacking (CAN) and Carlos Gracida (MEX). Adding fuel to the fire are American Dakar entrants and RALLY PAN AM riders Ian Blythe (US) and last years champion Scott Bright. Nipping at their heels are Baja 1000 Champions Steve Hengeveld and Vicente Guerrero's own Niño Rojas.
The all inclusive "statement", which is being released to the public for the first time here, includes the SCHEDULE OF EVENTS, SERVICE ROUTE MAPS and four key safety requirements each racer must comply with before receiving approval to start the 4-day odyssey covering more than 1500 KM, 1000 of which are timed, special stages

"Safety is our first goal with the BAJA RALLY. Because we have 4 dozen racers, navigating without course markers, maps or GPS tracks every rider must carry a working satellite phone, SPOT Tracker. The organization is grateful to have the right communications and safety support from PCI Radios, SPOT, SATMODO, Baja Pits & Xplore Baja tying it all together." explains General Director Scotty Breauxman.
The release of the schedule and service routes kick off a month long countdown to the fastest growing rally event in North America. The BAJA RALLY is a 4-day adventure race that forces motorcycle racers to navigate through unknown routes where they race against the clock and each other using nothing more than a compass, odometer and map.
Its unlike anything the State of Baja CA has ever seen before. A cultural immersion into some of Baja CA's greatest locales, the BAJA RALLY challenges mind, body and spirit. More information at BajaRallyMoto.com
