Advances in LED technology are allowing manufacturers to pump more and more light down the trail out of a light, compact package. The Squadron light kit cranks out 7,200 lumens from a pair of 3-inch-square lighting units that only weigh 12 ounces apiece. They have an aircraft aluminum housing, active thermal management to keep them cool, and they’re waterproof to three meters should you ever drive your bike into a puddle that’s way deeper than it looks.

Power consumption is 44 watts for each light, with a 25,000 hour LED life expectancy.
