MachineartMoto, designers of specialized products for BMW motorcycles, announced the addition of a Slipscreen to its line of products for the liquid-cooled BMW R1200GS/A. Slipscreen is a short enduro/sport screen for off-road and hot weather riding when minimal physical obstruction and maximum airflow are a comfort advantage.

Slipscreen is designed to be very easy to swap with the stock windscreen using two existing screws. Mounting bosses are molded into the back of the part so one merely has to remove the stock screen and immediately be able to attach the Slipscreen. Removal of the four piece mounting interface from the stock screen and re-attaching it to the new screen as is not required like many other aftermarket GS screens.

When cold weather returns, the swap back to the stock screen is equally as easy. Slipscreen is injection molded in high impact strength polycarbonate and available in two colors: Granite Grey metallic to match the color of the GS's tank panels; and black. The height adjustability feature is retained, covering the Navigator GPS unit in its low position while extending 2.5" above it in its highest position. Available August 2015.
