Many riders enjoy downshifting their motorcycle to slow down, rarely ever using the brakes. This is an effective and great sounding way to decelerate. But if you don't remember to squeeze the brake lever your tail lamp will not come on, and the drivers or riders following behind are at a disadvantage to stop in time.

Aggressive deceleration under engine braking could result in being rear-ended. MechOptix has found a solution to this unique problem. Their new Stoptix replacement bulb is an automatic brake lamp that easily installs just like the original bulb it replaces. Stoptix is the only brake lamp that reduces your risks of being rear ended by indicating when you are decelerating while down shifting, automatically.

Stoptix works using a small battery and sensor built into the bulb that will automatically light up during downshifts, malfunctions, and collisions. The Stoptix LED is brighter than any replacement incandescent bulb, and red, so go it looks great behind clear or smoked light covers. It will also last longer than incandescent bulbs.

The Stoptix lamp is designed to fit most 1157 brake/tail sockets. The Stoptix replacement bulb is currently in pre-production but available for purchase on indiegogo.com for $100.00. For more information you can also visit the MechOptix website at mechoptix.com.
