It started with a broken leg. 12 weeks into a four-month long trip from Oregon to Panama, Mosko’s co-founder Pete Day took a hard fall in a remote area of La Moskitia, Honduras. After a few days laid up at a local army base, he left his KTM 950 behind and went home to recover in Oregon. It was in this time the idea of creating the perfect pannier began.

With over two combined decades of dual-sport travel and wealth of product design experience, founders Pete and Andrew were the perfect pair to build the next generation of soft panniers and duffles. Andrew’s skills as a product and bag designer for internationally recognized action-sports manufacturer Dakine, have translated seamlessly into designing for dual-sport users.

What drives the design of Mosko Moto’s bag systems is seamless, cohesive function – and real-world, rider input. To design the best product possible, Pete and Andrew took their ideas to the people that they imagined would buy them – not only their adventure-minded friends, but the adventure riding community at large on ADVRider.com, where advice was plentiful – and often incorporated into product design. The result? A bag for riders, built by riders.
