gallery2Mosko Moto back-country dual-sport gear is feature-rich and built to take a beating. Mosko Moto’s detachable panniers and duffels are the perfect accessory for the adventurer who’s taking two wheels to the open road-and off it. After 8 highly intensive months of research and development, prototyping, and on-the-trail testing, the first bags are now available for pre-order.

It started with a broken leg. 12 weeks into a four-month long trip from Oregon to Panama, Mosko’s co-founder Pete Day took a hard fall in a remote area of La Moskitia, Honduras. After a few days laid up at a local army base, he left his KTM 950 behind and went home to recover in Oregon. It was in this time the idea of creating the perfect pannier began.

gallery6With over two combined decades of dual-sport travel and wealth of product design experience, founders Pete and Andrew were the perfect pair to build the next generation of soft panniers and duffles. Andrew’s skills as a product and bag designer for internationally recognized action-sports manufacturer Dakine, have translated seamlessly into designing for dual-sport users.

What drives the design of Mosko Moto’s bag systems is seamless, cohesive function – and real-world, rider input. To design the best product possible, Pete and Andrew took their ideas to the people that they imagined would buy them – not only their adventure-minded friends, but the adventure riding community at large on ADVRider.com, where advice was plentiful – and often incorporated into product design. The result? A bag for riders, built by riders.

But what really sets Mosko’s equipment apart? Blending material and design from the action sport world – where weight, efficiency and durability have always ruled – with the function needed for multi-day off-road adventure.

When Pete returned to La Moskitia to reclaim the KTM, it was with new bags in hand that were built specifically for trans-continental adventure. And now Mosko Moto is ready to show them to you.

Want to talk to Pete or Andrew? Great! They’re happy to talk about how these bags can help make dual-sport bikes more functional and fun, the best ways to avoid traffic bribes in any country, or just about anything related to two-wheeled adventure.
