Donald and Kathy McCoy, direct descendants of The Hatfield’s and McCoy’s are excited to announce their 1st Annual Adventure Motorcycle Rally. The Stolen Pig Rally will take place April 28 - May 1, 2016 in Historic Downtown Matewan WV.

The Stolen Pig Rally will consist of riding and exploring within the 2nd lowest valley of the Appalachian Mountains. Trail routes are located where the WV, KY and VA States join together and in The Heart of the Hatfield and McCoy Feud Country loaded with awesome mountains, valleys, and streams.

An all day exploration ride for experienced off road riders will be led by Don McCoy, on his BMW Dakar 650 with knobby tires. The tour includes 50,000 plus acres of privately owned “bike play-ground property”. The route will also include plenty of dirt mixed with a bit of rocky terrain,  a few small mud holes, and plenty of blacktop twisties.

During the awesome exploration ride you will not be more than fifteen miles “as the crow would fly” from home base, the Hatfield McCoy Resort in Matewan, WV. There will be self guided routes with maps available ranging from 60-150 miles including The Feud Loop for history buffs who also want to experience some dual sport trails.

While here you can pitch a tent or park your RV in a area set aside by the town for The Stolen Pig Rally participants. The tent sites are primitive and the RV sites have electric hook up only. There will be showers and restrooms available throughout the town and there's a dumping station for the RV's close by.

Wingo's Grill is located at The Hatfield McCoy Resort and will be hosting a "Pig Out" Saturday night. Wingo's will be serving wood smoked pork BBQ  by the real McCoy himself. Served with baked beans, slaw, Texas toast, and their famous homemade BBQ sauces. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7:00am-11:00pm. Wingo's will have live entertainment Friday and Saturday night.

Matewan is rich in history. It was the battle ground during the Hatfield and McCoy Feud and The Matewan Massacre. The town has been designated as a National Historic Landmark with plenty to see and do. The main street is two blocks long and full of businesses should you need a break from riding.
