If you’re interested in riding the Utah Backcountry Discovery Route (UTBDR), check out this new feature-length film from Touratech-USA and Canadian filmmaker, Curbsyde Productions.

Intro-ImageThe DVD profiles the making of the 871-mile UTBDR (mostly unpaved), taking riders from Arizona to Idaho through Moab, Valley of the Gods, the Abajo and La Sal Mountain Ranges, Nine Mile Canyon, and the northern Wasatch Mountains, and also documents the first group to ride the route, aboard big-bore adventure bikes like the KTM 990 Adventure, BMW F800GS and BMW R1200GS.

If the film gets you anxious to try the trip yourself, you can grab the GPS co-ordinates by visiting the UTBDR website, as well as more information. Butler Maps also had a hand in this project, and they’ve got a synthetic paper map of the route available. Touratech-usa.com
