In news of small and forbidden fruit ADV bikes, Sundiro-Honda has brought to market a CRF190L based around the powerplant of the XR190L and CB200X. For now the new bike is only available in China but it may be available in other Asian markets in the future.

When we first saw the new ride, we immediately noticed the design with plenty of cues from the Africa Twin, but slimmed down a bit. Hopefully this bike gives us a hint at the design for the long rumored 750-850cc ADV ride from Big Red.

Honda’s XR190L available in Asia, Australia, and South America as a dual sport or ag bike, depending on region. Its powerplant is a 184.4 cc air cooled and fuel single putting out 15.6 HP and 11.6 lb ft of torque.  Ready to ride the XR weighs in at 123kg (271 lbs) and with the additional bodywork we expect the CRF would be a bit heavier.

Aside from Africa Twin vibes, we’re also reminded quite a bit of the CB125X concept from EICMA 2018. With this consistency in design between concepts and current bikes, we wonder if an upcoming middleweight ADV from Honda will sport a similar sleek profile over the wide dual headlights of the current ATs. Only time will tell, but it certainly has us excited for what’s to come!
