ADVMoto recently chatted with Pete Vetrano of Motoman Distibuting, who will be the key importer for the SWM Motorcycles, based in Oak Hills California. Among the full line of dual sports that SWM will offer, the 600cc SuperDual is most exciting for us. Pete tells us that the bike will be available with two different wheel sizes – 19/17 and 21/18 combos. More options include a standard or tall seat, and a factory luggage system that includes auxiliary lighting.
“European dual sport options are great performers but cost a considerable amount of money, and affordable Japanese models utilize dated technology. SWM offers motorcycles that are well equipped for much less than the costs of its competitors.” Pete Vetrano, Motoman Distributing. The SWM Superdual will be available this fall. Although price isn’t officially set, Pete estimates the Superdual to cost around the $8k mark. For more information about this bike or the full line-up of SWM motorcycles, visit MotomanDistributing.com.
The SWM Superdual will offer European performance, at an affordable price point.
About the SWM SuperDual:
With proven performance and specific adventure styling, the highly anticipated SWM SuperDual is set to storm the USA adventure bike market. The SWM SuperDual originated from the Husqvarna TE 630 and was manufactured in Lombadia, Italy, in the same production plant. The highly-acclaimed 600cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve four-stroke engine was extremely popular in its Husqvarna form and is impressing again. The SWM SuperDual now enjoys slightly more horsepower due to the under-slung exhaust configuration. This 600cc engine is the solid foundation upon which this adventure bike was built. The SWM SuperDual's unique adventure design and functionality is bound to attract riders who want an adventure bike that can behave like a dirt bike yet offer the comfort that long distance riding demands.
