Bea & Helmut are a young, open minded couple that loves traveling and motorcycling. At a certain point they wanted to explore the world beyond their European borders, beyond prejudices and beyond their usual comfort zone. The couple wanted to explore the world, create their own experiences, while forming informed opinions about foreign countries, cultures and traditions. The obvious choice was to quit their open-ended jobs, sell everything, and say goodbye to their families and friends. They left Germany in June 2011 to explore the world on 1989 and 1993 Honda Transalps.

Traveling on old motorcycles, sleeping in a small tent and cooking on a one-flame fuel cooker isn’t always easy, but traveling light affords the couple a truer experience of their surroundings. For Bea and Helmut traveling by motorcycle means full immersion in their surroundings. There is no car window to close, no door to shut. The smell of fresh blooming flowers is just as intense as the biting smell of exhaust and burning rubbish. So far the journey has taken them into a nomad family’s yurt in Mongolia, a farmer’s home in Siberia, and even a bamboo hut while exploring Indonesia. According to their motto “See the world from a different view” their travel motivation and purpose is to share their unique experiences uncensored and uncut with the followers of their blog. They want to help readers understand that we are all the same, no matter what country we live in.

On their web page Bea and Helmut are sharing the unadorned reality of nearly five years, five continents, 28 countries and over 120.000 adventurous kilometers of living on the road, while battling with the daily ups and downs of motorcycle travel. The couple is now on their way North to explore the US and Canada extensively on two wheels.
